Lovejoy Lady Leopard Softball

J.V. Highlights (District Record: 7-3)

4/15:  The Lovejoy Leopards wanted to finish the season strong and the they did as they beat the Nevada Community Braves 7-1.   The JV team finished the season 7-3.  It was a great season!!!  Great job girls!!

4/12: The Lady Leopards played Princeton for the final home game of the season and lost a heart breaker as they tried to comeback to claim a victory.  It was an exciting game.  The girls lost 6-8. 

4.8:  The Lady Leopards lost to a strong hitting Prosper team today. 

4/5: The JV squad won 10-6 to improve to 6-1 for the season. 

4/1:  The JV squad faced Prosper for the third time this season.  Unfortunately, the Eagles had strong hitting and handed the JV squad their first loss in district. 

3/29:  Yhe JV team lead by strong pitching from Jessica Parrott welcomed Nevada Community to Lovejoy to begin the evening on a strong performance.   The Leopards won 12-4 to remain undefeated in district. 

3/25;  The JV squad set the tone for the night by dominating the Princeton team.  The team stays undefeated with a 12-4 win. 

3/22:  The Lady Leopards faced a tough Prosper team again.  It was a tough battle and the Leopards squeezed out a 3-2 victory to improve to 3-0 in district. 

3/18: The JV Lady leopards played the first ever Farmersville JV team and came away with a 10-5 victory sealing a 2-0 start to district  Strong pitching by Jessica Parrott, and heads up base running paid off for our girls as we scored 10 on the evening.  Hannah Broussard's triple in the first inning started the offense.   The JV team is now 2-0 in District.

3/15: The JV Lady Leopards played a tough Prosper team and came away with a 10-9 victory to clinch the first district win of the season for the program.

3/10:  The Lady Leopards hosted the Celina Bobcats.  The defense played well, just the hitting was strong by the Celina team and the lady leopards fell short 7-2. 

3/4:  The Lady Leopards are playing in Allen this weekend and started the weekend strong.  They beat Denton Ryan and Allen White to start the tournament 2-0.  Jessica Parrott pitched two strong games and the girls hit the ball very well.  The Lady Leopards have a three game winning streak started - keep it up girls!!!

2/25: Allen came to Lovejoy on Fridiay and posted a strong lead going into the last inning, but that did not get the Lady Leopards down.  In Lovejoy tradition, the team scored 5 in the bottom of the last inning and won 9-7.

2/15: The Lady Leopards faced a strong pitcher from Frisco Centennial and lost their initial game of the season 13-1.  Although, it was a tough loss, the final 3 innings of the game, the Lady Leopards showed strong defense and pitching.  

2/12: The team played two scrimmages over the weekend to get the rust off and enjoy the incredible weather in the Dallas area.   They played two 5A school programs - Plano and Plano East.
